Success means modernizing both public and private infrastructure, which requires working openly and collaboratively to ensure scale, security, and interoperability across new digital systems. In this session, Julian Gordon from LF Decentralized Trust will lead a discussion with leaders from financial services, retail, government, and technology organizations from across India on how they are leveraging open development and governance to build trusted new systems that are already reshaping the country’s economy. The speakers will share specifics on their work to modernize digital identity, payments, supply chain resilience, economic inclusion and more.

Timely weather forecasting is critical for modern agriculture, especially in preventing crop damage due to unexpected rainfall. The Linux Foundation’s AgStack project aims to provide an open, scalable, and interoperable platform for agricultural data, including real-time weather alerts. This topic explores AgStack's advancements in predicting and notifying farmers of unexpected rainfall at least few hours in advance. We also discuss the integration of global meteorological data, AI-driven forecasting, and IoT-based weather stations, as well as challenges in data standardisation, sensor accuracy, and real-time communication for hyperlocal weather predictions.
