SBOM Quality: We Need More Than a Simple “SBOM Button” for Compliance - Ayan Sinha Mahapatra, NexB
Tuesday August 5, 2025 11:00am - 11:25am IST
India, US, EU, and other governments introduced cybersecurity regulations for anyone distributing software. Any software maintainer, contributor, and developer, needs to be aware of their software dependencies and any associated risk (vulnerabilities, licensing issues, unmaintained software, unknown origin), and how to efficiently manage these software components. This is most often – and now regulated – with SBOMs.

Accelerating Incident Response With OpenTelemetry and MCP: Building Agentic Observability System - Ekansh Gupta, SigNoz
Tuesday August 5, 2025 12:15pm - 12:40pm IST
The growing complexity of cloud-native environments has made incident detection and remediation increasingly challenging, with engineers often spending precious hours sifting through disconnected telemetry data. This talk demonstrates how Model Context Protocol (MCP) which an open protocol for building agent applications bridges the gap between OpenTelemetry data and AI-powered analysis to dramatically reduce Mean Time to Recovery.

Linux's Leap Beyond Fixed Pages - Dev Jain, Arm
Tuesday August 5, 2025 12:15pm - 12:40pm IST
A longstanding challenge in Linux has been the inefficiency of the 4KB base page size—while it reduces internal fragmentation, it causes longer LRU lists, more page faults, and more TLB misses. Transparent Huge Pages (THP) mitigate this by dynamically allocating larger pages (2MB).

Tuesday August 5, 2025 1:40pm - 1:50pm IST
Timely weather forecasting is critical for modern agriculture, especially in preventing crop damage due to unexpected rainfall. The Linux Foundation’s AgStack project aims to provide an open, scalable, and interoperable platform for agricultural data, including real-time weather alerts. This topic explores AgStack's advancements in predicting and notifying farmers of unexpected rainfall at least few hours in advance. We also discuss the integration of global meteorological data, AI-driven forecasting, and IoT-based weather stations, as well as challenges in data standardisation, sensor accuracy, and real-time communication for hyperlocal weather predictions.

Testing, Evaluation and Debugging Generative AI and Agentic Applications - Kalyan Kolachala, Intuit & Vaishali Shetty, Mycom
Tuesday August 5, 2025 2:15pm - 2:40pm IST
Generative AI has been very powerful in providing a natural language understanding and reasoning abilities to products and applications using approaches and technologies such as LLMs, RAG, vector databases and knowledge graphs. These capabilities have been significantly enhanced using orchestration and autonomous agents with frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph. These powerful capabilities however bring in additional challenges when testing and evaluating the resulting products and applications because of natural language interface, non-deterministic output and additional complexity with the use of a hierarchy of autonomous agents.

Auto-instrumenting Native (C++ and Rust) Applications Using eBPF and OpenTelemetry - Lalit Kumar Bhasin, Microsoft
Tuesday August 5, 2025 2:50pm - 3:15pm IST
Auto-instrumentation for native applications—especially in C++ and Rust—is one of the toughest challenges in observability. Unlike managed languages like Java that provide runtimes with built-in instrumentation hooks, or languages like Go that offer limited runtime metadata, native applications expose no dynamic introspection or tracing facilities. This makes traditional approaches ineffective or invasive.

Tuesday August 5, 2025 2:50pm - 3:15pm IST
As AI evolves from isolated model development to system-level deployments, enterprise AI engineers face increasing complexity in tooling, governance, and operational workflows. This session explores how open source technologies—Podman Desktop, RamaLama, and Llama Stack—can streamline the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and reproducible agentic AI systems. Attendees will follow an end-to-end user journey: starting from secure container-based local experimentation, advancing through modular multi-agent RAG workflows, and culminating in OCI-compliant model packaging and Kubernetes-native deployment. We’ll dive into practical strategies for integrating model governance via the LF AI & Data Model Openness Framework, achieving robust supply chain security, and enabling observability across the AI lifecycle. Whether you're building internal AI platforms or modernizing MLOps, this session reveals how open tooling empowers teams to confidently operationalize next-gen AI systems at enterprise scale.
